Sound has quietly shaped my life.
I often remember places through what I heard there rather than what I saw.

Slow Radio grew from that instinct — to stop, listen, and let a place reveal itself without interruption.
These recordings are documents of real moments. Weather moving through a landscape. A train crossing a country at night. A city before it wakes.
Nothing needs to happen. The world is already there.
Each recording becomes a place that can be entered again, held for a while, and visited again.
Slow Radio is the field-recording project of Pete Ingo: an independent, place-led archive and continuous broadcast made from original location sound. Recordings retain their geography and provenance, and are presented without synthetic ambience or invented environments.
Place
Geography and provenance stay attached to every recording.
Time
A recording is a document of one unrepeatable hour.
Truth
No imagined nature and no promise to make you feel a certain way.
Four ways into the world.
